Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NHWD-870 is a potent, orally bioavailable bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) inhibitor that exhibits selectivity for bromodomain containing 4 (BRD4). It was developed for anti-cancer potential and is more potent than clinical stage BET inhibitors such as birabresib and molibresib. NHWD-870 binds to bromodomains of BRD2, BRD3, BRD4 (IC50=2.7 nM), and BRDT. It has demonstrated efficacy in reducing tumor growth in multiple mouse models of cancers, including lung and ovarian tumors, lymphoma, and melanoma. Beyond oncology applications, research has shown potential applications in psoriasis treatment and as a male contraceptive.
