Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NI-003 is a recombinant glycoprotein currently in preclinical development by NeuImmune for the treatment of inherited or acquired antithrombin deficiency. As a human-equivalent antithrombin replacement therapy, NI-003 is designed to restore the body's natural anticoagulant capacity. Antithrombin is a critical serine protease inhibitor that regulates the coagulation cascade by inactivating thrombin and Factor Xa. By supplementing deficient levels of this protein, NI-003 aims to prevent and treat thromboembolic complications in patients with quantitative or qualitative antithrombin defects.
