Overview

NI-004 is a preclinical-stage recombinant glycoprotein vaccine candidate being developed by NeuImmune for the prevention of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The vaccine is based on the HCV envelope glycoproteins E1 and E2, which are critical for viral attachment and entry into host hepatocytes. By utilizing recombinant versions of these glycoproteins as antigens, NI-004 is designed to elicit a robust immune response, including the production of neutralizing antibodies and the induction of cellular immunity, to prevent or treat HCV infection. The program has received government funding and is currently undergoing preclinical proof-of-concept studies.
