Overview

NI-0701 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including asthma. It acts as an inhibitor of the chemokine CCL5 (also known as RANTES), thereby blocking its interaction with receptors and reducing inflammation mediated by this pathway. The drug was originally developed by NovImmune and later by Light Chain Bioscience. Its primary mechanism is antagonism of CCL5, which plays a key role in recruiting immune cells to sites of inflammation. Clinical development has included phase I studies in healthy volunteers using intravenous infusion[1][2][4][5].
