Overview

NI-hMSCs (Neurally Induced Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells) is a cell therapy candidate developed by Cell Reprogramming & Therapeutics for the treatment of various neurodegenerative diseases and central nervous system (CNS) injuries. The therapy is generated using a proprietary chemical genetics-based cell reprogramming platform that employs small molecules to convert human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) or human adult fat cells into neural-like cells. These reprogrammed cells are intended to provide neuroregenerative and neuroprotective effects in conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), stroke, and other CNS injuries. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
