NIA24 is a topical cosmeceutical skincare line developed by Niadyne Pharma (Niadyne Inc.) based on over 25 years of biomedical research. The core technology is Pro-Niacin (myristyl nicotinate), a proprietary, lipophilic derivative of niacin (vitamin B3) designed to penetrate the skin barrier and deliver nicotinic acid to the deeper layers of the skin via a micronutrient delivery system. Once absorbed, Pro-Niacin converts to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), which stimulates DNA repair by activating PARP (poly-ADP-ribose polymerase) and enhances energy metabolism within skin cells. The technology also targets the niacin receptor (HCAR2/GPR109A) to strengthen the skin's natural barrier and improve overall skin texture. NIA24 was marketed for consumer indications including photodamage, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles, though the brand has reportedly been discontinued.
