Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Niacinamide ascorbate** is a 1:1 small-molecule complex of niacinamide and L-ascorbic acid, with molecular formula C12H14N2O7. It has been used as a vitamin-derived nutraceutical ingredient and has been described as a non-targeted antioxidant with potential radioprotective activity through mitigation of oxidative stress from ionizing radiation. A historical Canadian multivitamin product, Daily Balance Tab, contained niacinamide ascorbate and was cancelled from post-market status in 1998; this multivitamin product should not be considered a single-ingredient brand of niacinamide ascorbate.
