Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nianmo decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the prevention of recurrence in patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) following transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). The decoction is hypothesized to exert its therapeutic effects by modulating the immune microenvironment within the bladder. Clinical research suggests its mechanism involves the regulation of the PD-L1 mediated immune pathway and curcumin-mediated signaling, potentially enhancing the host's anti-tumor immune response and inhibiting the survival of residual malignant cells.
