Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Niaoqingshu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) and chronic prostatitis, specifically targeting the syndrome of dampness-heat diffusing downward according to TCM diagnostic criteria. As a botanical-based therapy, it is composed of multiple plant extracts intended to clear heat, resolve dampness, and alleviate pain in the lower urinary tract and pelvic region. Clinical evaluation has focused on its efficacy in reducing symptoms as measured by the National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI).
