Overview
Complejo B (manufactured by Laboratorios Laproff) is an oral multivitamin formulation containing a combination of essential B vitamins: thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), nicotinamide (vitamin B3), and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). It is approved in Colombia for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B deficiencies, which can lead to metabolic disturbances, neurological symptoms, and fatigue. Thiamine is crucial for carbohydrate metabolism and nerve impulse conduction; riboflavin is essential for energy production from lipids and carbohydrates; nicotinamide is a precursor to NAD+/NADP+ involved in cellular energy metabolism; and pyridoxine is necessary for amino acid metabolism and red blood cell production.
