Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nidos AF is a medicated, antifungal body wash developed and marketed by Percos India. It is formulated with 2% ketoconazole as its primary active pharmaceutical ingredient, combined with natural botanical extracts including tea tree oil, peppermint oil, and aloe vera gel. Ketoconazole acts as a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and controlling fungal growth. The addition of tea tree oil and peppermint oil provides complementary antimicrobial and cooling properties, while aloe vera gel and D-panthenol soothe and moisturize dry, itchy, or irritated skin. Nidos AF is primarily indicated for the topical management of common fungal skin infections, such as tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), and tinea versicolor.
