Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Niféxine** is a French prescription fixed-dose rectal cream containing nifedipine 0.3% and lidocaine hydrochloride 1.5%, indicated in adults for relief of pain associated with chronic anal fissure after usual treatment for acute fissure symptoms has failed. Nifedipine, a dihydropyridine calcium-channel blocker, relaxes the internal anal sphincter and improves local blood flow; lidocaine is an amide local anesthetic that provides rapid local analgesia through sodium-channel blockade.
