It is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker used for the management of various cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, angina pectoris, and cardiac arrhythmias. Additionally, it is indicated for the prevention of migraines and for reducing the risk of future heart attacks and strokes.
