Nigtel H

Nigtel H is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication developed and marketed by SNIG Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd. It contains two active small molecule ingredients: telmisartan (40 mg) and hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg). Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively antagonizes the AT1 receptor, leading to vasodilation and reduced secretion of aldosterone. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that inhibits the sodium-chloride symporter (NCC) in the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney, promoting the excretion of sodium and water to reduce plasma volume. This combination is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, particularly in patients who require multiple agents to achieve blood pressure goals or those not adequately controlled by monotherapy.
