Overview
Nikcell 2 is a haploidentical natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Kian Immune Cell Company, specifically targeting neuroblastoma and potentially other metastatic solid tumors. The therapy is derived from healthy, partially HLA-matched (haploidentical) donors and manufactured according to GMP standards. Its mechanism of action relies on the innate ability of NK cells to recognize and eliminate malignant cells through direct cytotoxicity and immune modulation. The development of Nikcell 2 began in 2020 as a collaboration between the Royan Institute and Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and it is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation.
