Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nikzon is an over-the-counter (OTC) topical combination treatment developed by Genomma Lab Internacional for the symptomatic relief of hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders. It contains two primary active ingredients: phenylephrine hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic amine that acts as a vasoconstrictor to reduce swelling and inflammation by narrowing blood vessels in the affected area, and pramoxine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic that provides temporary relief from pain, itching, and burning. The formulation often includes soothing and protective agents such as aloe vera, glycerin, and petrolatum to help protect irritated tissue. It is typically applied topically to the affected area up to four times daily and is intended for external use only.
