Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nimbamruta Eranda Taila is a classical Ayurvedic medicated oil formulation used primarily for the management of inflammatory conditions, chronic skin disorders, and metabolic bone diseases. The formulation is prepared by processing a decoction of bitter, blood-purifying herbs—including Neem (*Azadirachta indica*), Guduchi (*Tinospora cordifolia*), and Vasaka (*Adhatoda vasica*)—with Castor oil (*Ricinus communis*). It acts as a potent 'Raktaprasadaka' (blood purifier) and 'Virechana' (purgative) agent. In clinical practice, it is frequently indicated for Vatarakta (gouty arthritis), Kushta (chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis or eczema), and Amavata (rheumatoid arthritis). Its therapeutic effect is attributed to the modulation of inflammatory cytokines and the systemic elimination of metabolic toxins (Pitta and Rakta) through induced purgation.
