Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NimbuDerm is a novel antimicrobial copolymer developed by Quick-Med Technologies for use as a persistent hand sanitizer. Unlike traditional alcohol-based sanitizers that evaporate quickly and offer no residual activity, NimbuDerm is designed to provide rapid and sustained antimicrobial protection for up to eight hours following a single topical application. The technology utilizes a small molecule-based copolymer formulation to create a long-lasting barrier on the skin, aimed at improving hand hygiene compliance and reducing the transmission of pathogens in healthcare and consumer settings. It has achieved proof-of-principle as a safe and effective modality for infection prevention.
