nimotuzumab + nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine is a combination chemo-immunotherapy regimen being investigated by the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital for the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC). The regimen combines nimotuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), with the AG chemotherapy backbone consisting of nab-paclitaxel (albumin-bound paclitaxel) and gemcitabine. EGFR is frequently overexpressed in pancreatic tumors, making it a viable target for enhancing the efficacy of standard cytotoxic agents. In clinical study protocols, this combination is often administered as induction therapy followed by sequential irreversible electroporation (IRE) ablation, a non-thermal ablation technique intended to improve local disease control and overall survival in patients with unresectable disease.
