Overview

NIP292 is an investigational small molecule drug developed for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). It is believed to act through multiple mechanisms including anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects, vasodilation (expansion of blood vessels), and repair of vascular endothelial damage. The drug functions as a Rho-associated kinase (ROCK) inhibitor. Clinical development has included Phase 1 studies evaluating safety and tolerability in healthy adult subjects[1][3][5].
