Nipas

**Nipas** is a marketed local dental formulation containing 32 mg of **acetylsalicylic acid** per alveolar tablet. It is placed by a dentist into the tooth socket after preparation of the alveolus, where the tablet swells and dissolves to protect exposed nerve endings and alveolar walls from saliva. Acetylsalicylic acid provides local anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-edema activity through cyclooxygenase inhibition. Nipas is indicated in dentistry for dry socket and other inflammatory or traumatic post-procedural alveolar conditions, including periapical and diffuse alveolitis and socket injury following dental procedures.
