Overview

Nipocalimab SC-LIV is a formulation of **nipocalimab**, a fully human, high-affinity, aglycosylated, effectorless monoclonal antibody targeting the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn). By binding to and blocking FcRn, nipocalimab reduces circulating immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody levels, including both autoantibodies and alloantibodies, in diseases driven by pathogenic IgG. It is under investigation for a range of autoimmune and alloimmune diseases, including generalized myasthenia gravis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s syndrome, and systemic lupus erythematosus. The “SC-LIV” in the name specifies a **subcutaneous low-volume injection formulation**, distinct from the original intravenous version[1][3][5].
