Overview

**Niraparib + abiraterone acetate** is an oral fixed-dose combination of niraparib, a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 and 2 inhibitor that impairs DNA-damage repair, and abiraterone acetate, a prodrug of abiraterone that inhibits CYP17A1 to suppress androgen synthesis. Marketed as **Akeega**, it is administered with prednisone and is approved in the United States for biomarker-selected BRCA-mutated metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and BRCA2-mutated metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer.
