Overview

NIT-003 is a preclinical-stage immunotherapy being developed by NOVAiCOS Immunotherapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors, with a primary focus on melanoma. The drug consists of an ICOS-Fc fusion protein encapsulated or formulated within a nanoparticle delivery system. Inducible T-cell Costimulator (ICOS, CD278) is a member of the CD28 family of costimulatory molecules expressed on activated T cells. By acting as an ICOS agonist, NIT-003 is designed to enhance T-cell activation, proliferation, and survival within the tumor microenvironment, thereby promoting a robust anti-tumor immune response. The nanoparticle formulation is intended to improve the stability, delivery, and potentially the localized activity of the fusion protein compared to standard protein therapeutics.
