Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nitricardia is a small molecule therapeutic being developed by Bryan Therapeutics, Inc. (BTI) for the treatment of ischemic heart disease, including coronary artery disease and angina. Formulated as an orally disintegrating tablet (ODT), Nitricardia is designed to modulate the endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS) pathway. By enhancing nitric oxide signaling, the drug aims to promote vasodilation and improve coronary blood flow, thereby alleviating symptoms of myocardial ischemia. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, with clinical development expected to begin in the near future.
