Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nituozumab is a monoclonal antibody developed as an anti-cancer agent. It specifically targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a cell surface protein that is overexpressed in various cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and glioblastoma. By binding to EGFR, nituozumab inhibits its activation and downstream signaling pathways involved in tumor cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Nituozumab has been investigated primarily for the treatment of solid tumors expressing EGFR.
