Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NIVIS Fibrillar Collagen is an absorbent matrix wound dressing composed of Type I and Type III bovine collagen. It is designed to manage moderately to heavily exudating wounds and control minor bleeding. The product leverages the biological properties of collagen, which stimulates cellular activity, attracts fibroblasts, supports new tissue development, and helps control wound contraction and scar deposition—especially through its Type III component. Provided in particulate form for easy molding into wounds or as a paste when hydrated with saline, it facilitates direct contact with host tissue to support natural healing processes. Indications include pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, acute wounds (such as trauma or surgical wounds), and partial-thickness burns. The device is supplied sterile for single use only[1][3][7][8].
