Nivolumab + anlotinib is a combination therapy consisting of two distinct agents used primarily in oncology. Nivolumab is a human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to restore anti-tumor immunity by blocking PD-1-mediated signaling. Anlotinib is a small molecule multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR), and c-Kit, thereby suppressing tumor angiogenesis and proliferation. The combination has been investigated in clinical trials for advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), gastric adenocarcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, soft tissue sarcoma, and small cell lung cancer—especially in patients who have failed standard therapies or are refractory to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Clinical studies report manageable safety profiles and promising efficacy signals with this regimen[2][4][5][6].
