Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**NK-92 + ALT-803** is a combination immunotherapy consisting of NK-92 (a clinically validated, allogeneic natural killer cell line, also known as haNK) and ALT-803 (also known as N-803 or Anktiva, an interleukin-15 [IL-15] superagonist complex). ALT-803 is an IL-15N72D/IL-15 receptor alpha sushi domain/Fc fusion protein designed to stimulate and expand NK cells and CD8+ T cells, enhancing immune-mediated tumor cell killing. NK-92 cells are expanded and activated NK cells engineered for cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. In the combination, ALT-803 serves as a cytokine to further potentiate NK-92 cell proliferation, survival, and anti-tumor activity, potentially overcoming resistance to checkpoint inhibitors or prior immunotherapy. This combination is under investigation for various advanced solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including trials in Merkel cell carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer after checkpoint inhibitor failure[3][4][5].
