NKAB-CD19

NKAB-CD19 is a preclinical **bispecific antibody** (NK cell engager) developed by **NKarta Therapeutics**. It is designed to target **CD19** on B-cell malignancies and **CD16** (FcγRIIIa) on **Natural Killer (NK) cells**. By simultaneously binding to both targets, NKAB-CD19 facilitates the recruitment and activation of NK cells, leading to the targeted destruction of CD19-positive tumor cells through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). This "NK cell-activating bispecific" (NKAB) platform was developed as an "off-the-shelf" alternative to cell-based therapies. Although NKarta has prioritized its CAR-NK cell therapy candidates (such as NKX019) in clinical development, NKAB-CD19 represents the company's foundational work in the NK cell engager space for the treatment of B-cell lymphomas and leukemias.
