NKAB-CD20

NKAB-CD20 is a bispecific antibody developed by Nkarta Therapeutics, designed to treat B-cell malignancies by leveraging the cytotoxic potential of Natural Killer (NK) cells. It belongs to Nkarta's proprietary NK cell-activating antibody (NKAB) platform. The molecule is engineered to simultaneously bind the CD20 antigen on malignant B-cells and the CD16a (FcγRIIIa) receptor on NK cells. This dual engagement facilitates the recruitment and potent activation of NK cells, triggering antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) to eliminate tumor cells. NKAB-CD20 is specifically engineered with an Fc region that has high affinity for CD16a, which is intended to overcome the variable clinical responses often seen with conventional anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies in patients carrying low-affinity Fc-gamma receptor polymorphisms. It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of various B-cell cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).
