Overview

NKC007 is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by NK CellTech (Guangzhou Enkaisai Biotechnology). The product consists of NK cells derived from healthy donor peripheral blood that are expanded and activated using a proprietary membrane-bound IL-21 (mbIL21) feeder cell platform. This process is designed to enhance the cells' proliferative capacity, cytotoxicity, and persistence following infusion. NKC007 is primarily being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapeutic effect is mediated by the innate ability of NK cells to identify and eliminate malignant cells through the balance of activating and inhibitory receptors, leading to the release of perforin and granzymes and the induction of apoptosis in target cells.
