Overview
NKM injection is an autologous natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by NKBio Co. Ltd. for the treatment of hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, specifically diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The production process involves isolating peripheral blood mononuclear cells from the patient, followed by the ex vivo expansion and activation of the NK cell population to create a highly potent 'Natural Killer Mixture.' Once re-infused intravenously, these activated NK cells identify and eliminate malignant cells through the release of cytotoxic granules containing perforin and granzymes. In the context of DLBCL, NKM injection is typically evaluated in combination with the R-CHOP regimen, where it is intended to synergize with rituximab by enhancing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).
