Overview

NL201 is a genetically modified recombinant human interleukin-11 (mIL-11) being developed by Beijing Northland Biotech for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia (CIT) in cancer patients. As a cytokine therapy, it acts as an agonist for the interleukin-11 receptor complex, stimulating the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells, thereby increasing platelet production. NL201 is a modified version of recombinant human interleukin-11 (rhIL-11), designed to optimize efficacy and safety. It is currently undergoing Phase 3 clinical evaluation as a subcutaneous injection to manage low platelet counts resulting from cancer chemotherapy.
