Overview

**NLC1** is an experimental nanostructured lipid carrier formulation loaded with *Cannabis sativa* extract containing cannabidiol and cannabidiolic acid. It was developed as a lipid-nanoparticle delivery system intended to improve prolonged release and brain delivery of the cannabis extract for epilepsy. In a preclinical pentylenetetrazole-induced seizure model in mice, the studied lipid nano-carrier formulations, including NLC1, delayed the onset of myoclonic, clonic, and tonic seizures.
