Overview

NLS-3 is an early-stage small molecule drug candidate developed by NLS Pharmaceutics (now part of NewCelX Ltd) for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. It is part of a pipeline of next-generation CNS-active compounds designed to address conditions such as narcolepsy and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). NLS-3 is characterized as a dual dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (DNRI), a mechanism intended to increase the synaptic concentrations of these neurotransmitters to improve wakefulness, alertness, and cognitive function. The compound is currently in the preclinical or early discovery phase, representing a follow-on or complementary approach to the company's lead candidates, Quilience and Nolazol.
