NM-102 is a preclinical-stage, gut-selective small molecule peptide developed by 9 Meters Biopharma. It is designed to modulate tight junctions within the gastrointestinal tract to maintain the integrity of the gut barrier. The primary therapeutic goal is to prevent the translocation of gut microbial products into the systemic circulation, which is hypothesized to improve the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in oncology. 9 Meters Biopharma has collaborated with the Gustave Roussy cancer center to conduct preclinical studies evaluating NM-102's mechanism of action and its potential to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by preventing gut-derived systemic inflammation or immune interference.
