Overview

NM-201 is a blood-brain barrier (BBB)-penetrating monoclonal antibody currently in the discovery phase for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Developed by Neuramedy, the drug is designed to target Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) in the brain. TLR2 activation by misfolded proteins, such as alpha-synuclein, is a key driver of neuroinflammation and neuronal damage in neurodegenerative diseases. By antagonizing TLR2, NM-201 aims to suppress microglial activation and neuroinflammatory pathways, potentially slowing disease progression.
