Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nm-nOMV SARS-CoV-2 Spike vaccine (also known as Avacc 10) is an intranasal vaccine candidate developed by Intravacc and AdJane. It consists of native outer membrane vesicles (nOMVs) derived from a genetically detoxified *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B strain combined with a recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein antigen (manufactured by ExcellGene). The vaccine is designed to induce both systemic and mucosal immune responses, particularly nasal IgA, to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection and block transmission at the mucosal entry point. In a Phase I clinical trial, the vaccine was shown to be safe, well-tolerated, and immunogenic in healthy adults.
