Overview

NM6603 is an orally bioavailable small molecule drug that targets the retinoid X receptor alpha (RXRA) variant. It acts as a RXRA agonist and is being developed for its potential antineoplastic (anti-cancer) activity, particularly in advanced solid tumors. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, maximum tolerated dose, and recommended Phase 2 dose in adult patients with advanced solid tumors. NM6603 was initially developed by Tengji (Xiamen) Biomedical Technology and is also associated with NucMito Pharmaceuticals as a sponsor of ongoing clinical studies[1][2][3][4]. Its primary mechanism involves modulation of nuclear receptor signaling pathways via activation of RXR-alpha, which may impact tumor cell proliferation and survival.
