NMRC-M3V-D-PfCAT is an investigational multicomponent plasmid DNA malaria vaccine developed by the Naval Medical Research Center as the DNA-prime component of the D/ChAd63-CAT heterologous prime-boost regimen. The blended vaccine encodes *Plasmodium falciparum* circumsporozoite protein, apical membrane antigen 1, and malaria multiple epitopes fused to thrombospondin-related adhesion protein. It is intended to induce cellular and humoral immune responses against pre-erythrocytic *P. falciparum* stages and was evaluated by intramuscular administration in a completed Phase 1 controlled human malaria infection study in malaria-naive adults.
