NN-103 is a humanized camelid nanobody (single-domain antibody) developed by NanoNewron that targets Transferrin Receptor 1 (TfR1). It serves as a blood-brain barrier (BBB) shuttle platform, marketed under the name NewroBus, designed to facilitate the delivery of therapeutic biologics into the central nervous system. NN-103 utilizes receptor-mediated transcytosis to cross the BBB and is engineered to bind TfR1 without competing with endogenous transferrin or disrupting iron homeostasis. It is currently in preclinical development as a modular platform technology and as a key component of multi-specific therapeutic candidates, such as the TNF-α inhibitor heterotrimer NN-841.
