Overview

NN1558 is a long-acting dual amylin/calcitonin receptor agonist (DACRA) developed by Novo Nordisk for the treatment of obesity and weight management. It was designed as a stable amylin analog at neutral pH to facilitate co-formulation with other therapeutic peptides, such as GLP-1 receptor agonists. In preclinical studies, NN1558 has been evaluated as a monotherapy and in combination with other agents like liraglutide or FGF21 analogues to assess its effects on food intake, energy expenditure, and body weight in animal models.
