Overview
NNC 112 is a novel benzazepine derivative that functions as a potent and selective dopamine D1 receptor antagonist. It also exhibits high affinity for the serotonin 5-HT2 receptor. Primarily, NNC 112, particularly its carbon-11 labeled form ([11C]NNC 112), is utilized as a positron emission tomography (PET) radioligand to quantitatively examine D1-dopamine receptors in the striatum and neocortex, especially in research contexts such as schizophrenia.
