NNC0174-1213 is a long-acting synthetic peptide and selective amylin receptor agonist under development for the treatment of obesity and overweight. It is designed to mimic the effects of human amylin, a hormone co-secreted with insulin by pancreatic beta cells that regulates appetite and food intake. Preclinical studies have shown that NNC0174-1213 reduces food intake and body weight in animal models. The drug is being developed by Novo Nordisk and is currently in phase 1 clinical trials for obesity and overweight.
