Overview
NNC0582-0001 is an investigational drug developed by Novo Nordisk. It is a nucleic acid-based therapy and the first small interfering RNA (siRNA) candidate from Novo Nordisk to enter clinical development. The drug acts as an agonist of liver X receptor alpha (LXR-α), a nuclear receptor involved in lipid metabolism and inflammation. As of early 2025, NNC0582-0001 is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics following subcutaneous administration in healthy adult volunteers[1][3][7]. No approved indications or brand names are currently associated with this compound.
