Overview

**NNC4005-0001** is an investigational biologic drug developed by Novo Nordisk for the treatment of fatty liver disease in adults with increased body weight (BMI 27-40 kg/m²) and hepatic fat fraction ≥8% by MRI-PDFF, excluding those with prior metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) diagnosis. Administered as a single ascending dose via subcutaneous injection, it is being evaluated in a Phase 1 trial (NCT07214870) for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, including AUC, Cmax, tmax, t1/2, and renal clearance, over approximately 7-8 months. The trial involves up to 6 cohorts receiving either NNC4005-0001 or placebo, with primary endpoints focused on treatment-emergent adverse events up to day 169.[1][2][3][5]
