Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NNC6022-0001 is an investigational oral small molecule inhibitor of NLRP3 (NACHT, LRR and PYD domains-containing protein 3), a key component of the inflammasome pathway involved in inflammation. Originally developed by Ventus Therapeutics as VENT-01, it was licensed to Novo Nordisk in September 2022 for global development and commercialization. The drug is being evaluated for its potential to treat a range of cardiometabolic diseases, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), chronic kidney disease, obesity, and other related conditions. A Phase 1 clinical trial began in 2024 to assess safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers.
