Hydroquinone acts as a skin-lightening agent by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is essential for melanin production. Tretinoin, a retinoid, promotes epidermal cell turnover and collagen production, helping to unclog pores and improve skin texture. Mometasone furoate is a medium-potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and suppresses melanocyte metabolism. The product is indicated for the short-term, intermittent treatment of moderate to severe melasma, dark spots, acne scars, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
