Overview
No.2 Wei Yan Granule (also known as Wei Yan No. 2 Granule or Wei Yan No. 2 Formula) is an investigational traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated to treat the liver-stomach disharmony (肝胃不和) pattern of chronic superficial gastritis (also known as chronic non-atrophic gastritis). The formulation consists of multiple herbal ingredients, including Bupleurum (柴胡), Fructus Aurantii Immaturus (枳实), Radix Paeoniae Alba (白芍), and other traditional herbs, which work synergistically to soothe the liver, regulate qi, harmonize the stomach, and relieve pain. No.2 Wei Yan Granule has been evaluated in clinical trials in China, including a prospective, multicenter, randomized, double-blind controlled trial (ChiCTR-TRC-10000845) assessing its efficacy and safety compared to conventional active treatments.
